This film relies on the use of an unreliable narrator. Liz is giving her account of how she came to be trapped inside an abandoned bunker and what happened there.

It's a bit of a nostalgia fest. Really basic mobile phones (remember when we didn't even have them?). Lots of late 90's tunes. Camping weekends with your mates. Ok, I probably relate to this film because it reminds me of being a youngster.

This is a movie about teenage infatuation. Liz has a crush on Mike. The party is contrived so she can gain proximity to him. Her friend Martin is responsible for locking them in but he seems to have a crush on Liz. All according to Liz.

Truth is that Liz and Frankie contrived the party which was much harder than Liz described to the police (no surprises there!). It's a drug fuelled hedonistic gathering but Mike still isn't interested in Liz, much to her chagrin. In fact he decides to leave early.

I don't care what anybody says, even crack cocaine wouldn't inspire someone to sing a love song under someones window but hormones and the urge to mate will. Liz has the key to open the bunker but she chooses to lock everyone in.

You know the law of 3? What will kill you - 3 minutes without air, 3 days without water, 3 weeks without food. Well, there's no fresh water in that bunker. They end up being missing for 18 days apparently.

In what appears to be a product of their circumstances Liz eventually gets it on with Mike.

Frankie gets very sick but Liz is obsessed woth Mike (and has the key to escape in her shoe). Frankie dies and Mike murders Geoff when he catches him drinking from a concealed soda can. Liz eventually admits to Mike that she has the key and he realises the ramifications of her decision. Liz causes the ladder to fall down and kill Mike.

Liz confesses to the detective in the bunker then complains that the detective interviewing her is a baddie and they find Martin drowned in a river clutching the bunker key, Liz framed him and it looks like suicide. So the twist is that Liz gets away with it.

I don't like the twist but it makes a change to see the villain get away with it. It does make the film like cinematic Marmite though!

As I mentioned earlier, I probably like this movie because it reminds me of my youth but I would say it's quite an extreme example of what desire can do to a person. It's a bit disappointing that everyone seems to pay for it except for Liz who is the cause! If you're feeling nostalgic for the 90's though I reckon you'll enjoy it!
